#23 Is this really the end? Or just the beginning...

I would like to thank Friends of CTLS, the Tocker Foundation, & Kam McEvoy for the great learning experience. I really liked to be able to insert links to my favorite sites which was very easy to do. It was a lot of fun and also challenging at times, but I made it through and have learned about a lot of things that I did not know existed. I would like to participate in another discovery program if it were offered.

#22 Audiobooks and almost to the finish line!

I listened to Little Red Riding Hood by Charles Perrault. I have always liked this story and it was great that they used different voices for the different characters. I did not know that these online recordings were available. I was surprised that there were so many to choose from on this website.

#21 Wide world of podcasting

http://mightymommy.quickanddirtytips.com/default.aspx

I thought this was an awesome podcast site. I have never used podcasting before, but this one has a lot of topics and is a great information source.

#20 You too can YouTube

I like both of these songs and all the scenes of God's beautiful creation!! I viewed quite a few before deciding on these. I really like YouTube. There is a lot to see on this site. The videos that I viewed were mostly good, but some parts of them were blurry or had a picture in them that I didn't care for. There are a lot of things on this site that are not worth watching as well.

#19 Discovering Web 2.0 tools

I chose MothersClick. This is a place for mothers to get together and exchange ideas and is also a place to ask questions to get through things others may have already experienced. I did not see any applications for its use in a library.

#18 Web-based Apps: Have Internet, will travel

I was not aware that Zoho Services even existed. This is also a great thing to know about and use instead of e-mail attachments. You always see the latest version online and several people can make and see changes instantly. Any page can easily be published online for anyone to see, or shared with a selected group.

#17 Playing around with PBWiki

I created an account in the ctls-23-things-sandbox.pbwiki.com. The favorites that I added were my favorite books which are Never Suck a Dead Man's Hand and Mistaken Identity. My other choice was favorite movies and they are Shawshank Redemption, Steel Magnolias and Premonition.

#16 So what's in a wiki?

I think that using a wiki is a great idea because I know that when e-mails go back and forth they do get lost in the mix of all the others, especially when more than two people are involved. I did not know about this great planner tool, but I am sure I will use it in the future. It is also a great idea for several people to get lists and ideas together without actually having a meeting to do it.
