#15 Personal aspects of Library 2.0

•Library 2.0 encourages the heart.
As we reach out to our users, we remember all of the folks we serve. We create experiences for them. Open, honest communication should be the preferred method of sharing information with staff and users. Sharing content,thoughts and ideas should be the norm.

These are great words to live by not only within the library, but also throughout our lives!!

#14 The Technorati Parti

The results are quite different when you see the tags only. The search results on the Blog Directory are very general and ,in my opinion, a little too broad. The tags only search narrows it down to be much more specific to the topic.
I looked at the What's Popular news tab and I found the year 2008 in photographs, a few of the pictures were cool, but most of them were very graphic and disturbing.

#13 Delicious

Delicious is a useful key to saving time. You can type what you are looking for on pretty much anything and someone has something for you to see on the topic. I think that it is very useful for both businesses and personal home use.

#12 Online Gaming

I enjoy putting jigsaw puzzles together. I liked the JigZone website because there are alot of pretty pictures to choose from and you are also able to select the number of pieces in the puzzle. Bejeweled was alot of fun also, I like to figure out how to get the most of the same type together to get bonus points. I have found alot of very fun games online!

These are two other feeds that I have used. I usually find my feeds on other websites associated with the topic I am looking for. I did not find the search tools to be very helpful.
I feel that one of the best things that I have ever done is to breastfeed our baby. I hope that this will become a more popular thing to do again. I have seen so many times that the babies have to be switched from one formula to another and this is usually so much easier for them. It has been very difficult to do since I came back to work, but I think it is very worth it.

#11 Social Networking Sites - MySpace Music

I really like the MySpace Music. It is very easy to get into and I was able to listen to a Martina McBride song. I like the music part of it, but I was not interested in signing up for an account.

#10 Chat & IM

It is really easy to Chat, but I like to talk on the phone so I probably will continue to do that.
I have used Live Chat with a company that we subscribe to. It was very helpful to resolve an issue that we were trying to fix.

More about Really Simple Syndication

Adding links to a page makes it really convenient and a whole lot faster to get to what you are looking for. I chose CNN because it has stories of what is happening all around the world, politics, crime, entertainment, health, and the weather all on one site. Some of the videos on youtube are really interesting and funny and of course it never hurts anyone to have a good laugh!! Yahoo is another good site for mail, news, puzzles, travel, and horoscopes. I probably would not use the search tools to find feeds.
